MusDis Instruction Manual
Welcome to MusDis — your personal music discovery, organisation, and performance companion.
This manual explains every feature in a clear, step‑by‑step way so you can get the most out of the app.
1. Home Screen
The MusDis Home screen is your central hub. From here, you can access:
- Song Database – View, search, and manage all your songs.
- Playlists – Create and organise playlists for rehearsals or performances.
- Add New Song – Import new music into your library.
- Backup / Restore – Secure your data and restore it when needed.
- Settings – Customise the app to your preferences.
2. Adding a New Song
To add a new song:
- Tap Add New Song on the Home screen.
- Choose a title for your song.
- Import a picture of the music sheet (JPEG/PNG).
- Optionally record audio or add notes.
- Tap Save to add it to your library.
3. Song Database
The Song Database contains all songs you’ve added. You can:
- Tap a song to open it.
- Swipe left to delete.
- Use the search bar to quickly find a song.
- Edit a song’s title, image, or audio.
4. Viewing a Song
When you open a song, you can:
- View the music sheet image.
- Zoom in/out using pinch gestures.
- Play back any recordings you’ve added.
- Edit or replace the image.
- Add additional recordings.
5. Playlists
Playlists let you organise songs for rehearsals, performances, or teaching.
- Create a new playlist from the Playlists screen.
- Add songs by selecting them from your library.
- Reorder songs using drag‑and‑drop.
- Rename or delete playlists at any time.
6. Recorder
MusDis includes a built‑in audio recorder for capturing ideas, rehearsals, or performance notes.
- Tap the microphone icon inside a song.
- Press Record to begin.
- Recordings are saved directly inside the song.
- Tap a recording to play it back.
- Swipe left to delete a recording.
7. Backup & Restore
Protect your data using the Backup/Restore menu:
- Create Backup – Saves your entire library to a file.
- Restore Backup – Loads a previous backup file.
- Backups include songs, playlists, images, and recordings.
- Keep backups in iCloud Drive or external storage for safety.
8. Settings
Customise MusDis to suit your workflow:
- Dark Mode – Switch between light and dark themes.
- Storage Tools – Manage imported images and recordings.
- About – View app version and developer information.
9. Tips for Best Use
- Use playlists to prepare for performances.
- Record rehearsals to track progress.
- Keep backups regularly to avoid data loss.
- Use high‑quality images for clearer sheet music.
